Daniil Medvedev has seen off Novak Djokovic to win the US Open final.

The Serbian was aiming to land a calendar year Grand Slam but was soundly beaten by his Russian rival in straight sets at Flushing Meadows.

Medvedev won 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 to emerge triumphant.
