Russian commander killed ‘deliberately’ by his own troops in Ukraine, Western officials say

A Russian brigade commander has been killed by his own troops in Ukraine, Western officials have said, adding they believed the act was “deliberate”.

It is thought troops staged the rebellion due to the significant number of losses in their unit.

“That just gives an insight into some of the moral challenges that Russian forces are having,” the official noted.
