EXCLUSIVE: How APC Cabal Deceived Jonathan, Made Ex-leader Miss Out On Party’s Presidential Aspirants’ List, PDP Convention

Former President Goodluck Jonathan may have been deceived by the Aso Rock cabal that he would get the automatic ticket of the ruling All Progressives Congress to contest the 2023 presidential election, a presidential source told SaharaReporters on Monday.

The cabal comprising some members of President Muhammadu Buhari’s extended family and friends are the powers behind the throne.

This group led by Buhari’s nephew, Mallam Mamman Daura is said to have the ear of the President, influence policy-making and determine those who get major appointments.

SaharaReporters had recently reported how Jonathan met with Daura and other cabal members in Abuja where he was promised the automatic ticket of the APC.

He was told during the meeting that President Buhari would anoint him, while other aspirants will step down as it was done during the March 26 national convention of the APC, which produced Senator Abdullahi Adamu as the chairman of the party.

“He was deceived by the cabal and he fell for it, he is a joker. With all the promise, his name didn’t even appear on the list of those to be screened. That also prevented him from attending the PDP’s presidential primary election,” the presidential source said.

Speaking with SaharaReporters, one of Jonathan’s aides confirmed the former President was deceived by the cabal members so he could miss the convention of the Peoples Democratic Party.

He said Jonathan had agreed to attend the PDP convention held last Saturday after the Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, visited him at his Maitama district residence in Abuja on May 17.

The promise by the cabal and APC National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu however made him shun the exercise organised by the party, despite having his picture in its convention’s programme booklet.

“I think he (Jonathan) was just deceived intensely to ensure he didn’t attend the PDP presidential primary.

“The APC Chairman told him they had to wait for President Buhari to come back from Malabo. After Buhari returned, they changed the tune and he (Jonathan) was unable to meet Buhari as promised by the chairman and cabal.

“Jonathan also travelled last night and will be back on Wednesday. But the problem now is that we heard Buhari is likely to have travelled by that Wednesday as well. So, the former President is confused, he seems to have trusted the cabal so well.

“You can see that his name is not even on the list that was released last night. The list was released after he left the country. His lawsuit judgement is no longer being considered as well; that was what they used to deceive him initially. This was someone who had assured PDP members that he would be at their convention and they printed his name and picture on their booklet but he didn’t show up, not knowing he was being deceived,” an aide to the former President told SaharaReporters.

A Federal High Court in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State on Friday ruled that former Jonathan was still eligible to contest in the 2023 presidential election on the grounds that he had only been elected into the office once, in 2011.

The trial judge, Justice Isa Hamma Dashen, in his judgement also held that Jonathan’s right to vie for the office of president again cannot be stopped by any retroactive law.

Earlier, SaharaReporters earlier reported that Jonathan is not on the list of presidential aspirants expected to be screened by the APC despite secretly submitting his N100 million presidential nomination and expression of interest forms to the National Chairman of the ruling party.

Jonathan had recently rejected the presidential form of the ruling APC purchased for him, purportedly by a group of supporters from the northern region.

Speaking through his Media Adviser, Ikechukwu Eze, the former president said it was an insult for the group to have bought him the forms without his permission.

However, sources had told SaharaReporters that claims by the former President that he did not authorise the purchase of the multi-million-naira forms are far from the truth.

“Contrary to his denials, former President Goodluck Jonathan gave over N200 million to the governor of Jigawa, Mohammed Badaru, to purchase the APC nomination and expression of interest forms for him,” a source privy to the arrangement had told SaharaReporters.

Interestingly, the Jigawa governor, Badaru had also joined other interested presidential aspirants to vie for the ticket of the APC by buying the N100 million nomination and expression of interest forms.

“I will join the Presidential race since everyone knows I’m a highly qualified person to do the job,” Badaru was quoted as saying during an APC stakeholders’ meeting held at Government House in Dutse recently.

The governor was also said to have told the gathering during the meeting that he was pressurised by his colleagues to contest for the presidential seat.

His media aide, Auwalu Sankara, had said his principal had sought President Muhammadu Buhari’s blessings before buying the forms.

But SaharaReporters learnt that the Jigawa governor had bought the forms and come up with the statements as a ruse to deceive Nigerians; as he was indeed working for Jonathan.

It was further learnt that Jonathan had backed out of the plan and swiftly come up with the denial after the APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu, had refused to guarantee that the former President would be the consensus candidate of the ruling party.

Jonathan was Nigeria’s leader as a member of the PDP, which is now an opposition party.

“The reason why he (Jonathan) gave him that much money – over N200 million – was that he asked the governor to buy himself a form too in order to cover up the deal,” a source had said.

“And upon purchasing the form, Jonathan alerted Buhari. Buhari told him to meet with the APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu, but Adamu said he can’t guarantee him as a consensus candidate.

“At that point, GEJ (Goodluck Ebele Jonathan) started denying that he purchased the form,” another source had said.

ผ่านมาหนึ่งสัปดาห์หลังเลือกตั้งผู้ว่าฯกทม. และ ส.ก. ฟังว่า วันนี้ (30พ.ค.) ทางสำนักงานคณะกรรมการการเลือกตั้ง (กกต.) จะเสนอเข้าสู่ที่ประชุมเพื่อพิจารณาประกาศรับรอง “ชัชชาติ สิทธิพันธุ์” ผู้สมัครหมายเลข 8 ในนามอิสระที่ได้รับคะแนน 1,386,215 คะแนน และ ส.ก.ทั้ง 50 เขต ที่เพิ่งได้รับเลือกตั้งกันมา

นี่ทำให้คอการเมืองทั้งหลายโฟกัสไปที่ กกต.ว่า จะให้การรับรองตาม “มติมหาชน” หรือไม่อย่างไร เพราะต้องมีข้อพิจารณาจากที่ ชัชชาติ ถูกร้องเรียนอยู่ 2 เรื่อง คือ 1.กรณีที่ “พี่ศรี” ศรีสุวรรณ จรรยา เลขาธิการสมาคมองค์การพิทักษ์รัฐธรรมนูญไทย ยื่นคำร้องต่อ กกต.ขอให้ไต่สวนชัชชาติ กรณีทำป้ายหาเสียงเป็นผ้าไวนิลมีเจตนาแฝงเพื่อให้ผู้มีสิทธิเลือกตั้งสามารถนำไป “รีไซเคิล” ทำกระเป๋า-ผ้ากันเปื้อน เข้าข่ายกระทำการเพื่อจูงใจให้ผู้มีสิทธิเลือกตั้ง ลงคะแนนให้แก่ตนเองด้วยวิธีการ จัดทำให้ เสนอให้ สัญญาว่าจะให้ หรือจัดเตรียมเพื่อจะให้ ทรัพย์สิน หรือผลประโยชน์อื่นใดอันอาจคำนวณเป็นเงินได้หรือไม่

เบื้องต้น กกต.เห็นว่า กรณีดังกล่าวนี้เกี่ยวข้องกับ “กฎหมายเลือกตั้ง” จึงต้องตรวจสอบข้อเท็จจริงเพิ่มเติมว่า เข้าข่าย “สัญญาว่าจะให้” กับผู้ใดภายหลังจากการเลือกตั้ง ตามคำกล่าวอ้างของผู้ร้องหรือไม่ หรือเป็นแค่เพียงนโยบายหาเสียงเพื่อรักษาสิ่งแวดล้อม นโยบายรีไซเคิลและรียูสสิ่งของ

ส่วนเรื่องที่ 2.ร้องเรียนเกี่ยวกับระบบราชการ โดยอ้างว่า ชัชชาติ “ดูถูกระบบราชการ” แต่ประเด็นนี้ไม่เกี่ยวข้องกับกฎหมายเลือกตั้ง และยังไม่สามารถระบุได้ว่าตรงกับข้อกฎหมายใด

งานนี้ได้เกิดดราม่าถกเถียงในโซเชียลตามมา ว่า กกต.จะกล้าพิจารณาค้านสายตามหาชนผู้ที่เลือก ชัชชาติ มากกว่า 1.3 ล้านเสียงแค่ไหน จนทำให้ #ผู้ว่ากทม.ร้อนแรงอยู่ในโลกทวิตเตอร์

บ้างก็ว่า “สมัคร สุนทรเวช” อดีตผู้ว่าฯกทม.และอดีตนายกฯ เคยถูกร้องในกรณี “ชิมไปบ่นไป” ทำกับข้าวออกทีวีโดนปลดจากนายกฯ ก็เคยเห็นมาแล้ว.. “อาจารย์ ชช.” เจอสถานการณ์คล้ายกัน ร้องเรียนไปแบบงูๆ ปลาๆ แต่ฝั่งตรงข้ามพลิกตำรามาเอาผิด จะเกิดอะไรขึ้น

รศ.ดร.ประจักษ์ ก้องกีรติ อาจารย์คณะรัฐศาสตร์ ม.ธรรมศาสตร์ ทวีตข้อความระบุว่า ป้ายหาเสียงรีไซเคิลได้ : ถ้าเป็นประเทศอื่น กกต.คงออกมาชื่นชมว่าช่วยลดขยะ รักษาสิ่งแวดล้อม เป็นการหาเสียงที่สร้างสรรค์สะท้อนวิสัยทัศน์ยุค climate crisis และคงไม่มีใครหาเรื่องไปฟ้องร้อง- แต่ที่ประเทศไทย กลายเป็นเรื่องร้องเรียนที่ กกต.รับมาพิจารณา อนิจจา

ขณะที่เจ้าตัวว่าที่ผู้ว่าฯกทม.ยังคงลงพื้นที่พร้อมกับความมั่นใจว่าจะ “ฝ่าด่าน” นี้ได้แน่ เพราะเคยชี้แจงไปแล้ว โดย ชัชชาติ กล่าวว่า “ก็ต้องเคารพ กกต. เดี๋ยวรอท่านตัดสิน ไม่กังวลอะไร ก็แล้วแต่ท่านเลยเพราะคิดว่าฝ่ายกฎหมายเรามีการชี้แจงไปหมดแล้ว ไม่มีอะไร สบายๆ”

ช่วงเวลาเดียวกันนี้ “นิด้าโพล” ออกผลสำรวจที่น่าสนใจ ถึงเมื่อถามถึงความรู้สึกของประชาชนต่อการที่ “ชัชชาติ” ได้รับเลือกตั้งให้เป็นผู้ว่าฯ กทม. พบว่า ตัวอย่าง ร้อยละ 77.76 ระบุว่า ไม่แปลกใจเลย เพราะ เป็นคนเก่ง มีคุณสมบัติเพียบพร้อม มีความมุ่งมั่น ตั้งใจทำงาน และลงพื้นที่รับฟังเสียงจากประชาชนอย่างสม่ำเสมอ จึงได้รับความไว้วางใจจากคน กทม.

รองลงมา ร้อยละ 8.85 ระบุว่า ไม่ค่อยแปลกใจ เพราะ มีภาวะผู้นำ มีความเป็นกลางสามารถทำงานได้กับทุกฝ่าย ขณะที่บางส่วนระบุว่า คนกรุงเทพฯ ต้องการการเปลี่ยนแปลง

ขณะที่ ร้อยละ 7.34 ระบุว่า แปลกใจมาก เพราะ ผลงานในการพัฒนา กทม. ของ ชัชชาติ ยังไม่มี แต่กลับได้รับคะแนนเสียงเป็นจำนวนมาก โดยไม่คิดว่าคะแนนเสียงที่ได้รับจะถล่มทลายทิ้งห่างคู่แข่งมากขนาดนี้

และร้อยละ 6.05 ระบุว่า ค่อนข้างแปลกใจ เพราะ ลงสมัครในนามอิสระ ไม่สังกัด พรรคการเมือง แต่กลับชนะการเลือกตั้งอย่างถล่มทลาย

ท้ายที่สุดเมื่อถามประชาชนถึงผลกระทบต่อการเมืองในระดับชาติ ปรากฎว่า ร้อยละ 38.88 ระบุว่า คาดว่า จะส่งผลในทางลบต่อคะแนนนิยมของรัฐบาล รองลงมา ร้อยละ 32.53 ระบุว่า จะไม่ส่งผลใด ๆ ต่อคะแนนนิยมของรัฐบาล ร้อยละ 15.96 ระบุว่า เป็นแค่การเลือกตั้งในจังหวัดหนึ่งเท่านั้น ร้อยละ 9.53 ระบุว่า อาจมีการยุบสภาเร็วขึ้นกว่าที่คาดการณ์ไว้ ร้อยละ 8.40 ระบุว่า จะส่งผลต่อการเลือกตั้ง ส.ส. ในกรุงเทพฯ เท่านั้น ร้อยละ 6.43 ระบุว่า สังคมไทยจะเผชิญกับความขัดแย้งหรือการแบ่งฝ่ายทางการเมืองมากขึ้น ร้อยละ 6.35 ระบุว่า สังคมไทยได้ก้าวข้ามความขัดแย้งหรือการแบ่งฝ่ายแล้ว ร้อยละ 4.99

ระบุว่า พรรค/กลุ่มการเมือง ฝ่ายค้านจะเกาะกระแส ชัชชาติ ในการต่อต้านรัฐบาล ร้อยละ 3.33 ระบุว่า รัฐบาลจะอยู่ยาวเพื่อหาทางสร้างคะแนนนิยมเพิ่มมากขึ้น และร้อยละ 2.12 ระบุว่า บางพรรคอาจถอนตัวจากการร่วมรัฐบาลเพื่อเอาตัวรอด

งานนี้จะเป็นอย่างไรก็ต้องติดตามกันต่อไป.

** คว่ำ พ.ร.บ.งบฯ ..อะไรๆก็เกิดขึ้นได้กับสภาพ “รัฐบาลลุง” ปัญหาถาโถม
ร่างพระราชบัญญัติ (พ.ร.บ.) งบประมาณรายจ่ายประจำปีงบประมาณ พ.ศ.2566 วงเงินงบประมาณกว่า 3.18 ล้านล้านบาท ที่จะเข้าสู่การพิจารณาของสภาฯวาระที่ 1 ระหว่างวันที่ 31 พ.ค.-2 มิ.ย. 65 กำลังกลายเป็นประเด็นร้อนทางการเมืองที่ถูกหยิบยกมาเปิดศึก”น้ำลาย” กันระหว่าง ฝ่ายค้านและรัฐบาล โดยฝ่ายค้านถึงกับตั้งธงจะ”คว่ำ” ให้ได้

เริ่มกันที่ “ยุทธพงศ์ จรัสเสถียร” ส.ส.มหาสารคาม พรรคเพื่อไทย บอกว่า พรรคร่วมฝ่ายค้านมีมติคว่ำร่างพระราชบัญญัติงบประมาณรายจ่ายประจำปีพ.ศ. 2566 เพราะ กู้จนเต็มเพดาน งบประมาณพัฒนาประเทศแทบจะไม่มี ประชาชนเดือดร้อนอดอยากหิวโหย รัฐบาลบอกไม่มีเงินช่วย แต่กลับมีงบประมาณซื้อเครื่องบินรบลำใหม่รุ่น F35 จำนวน 2 ลำ ราคา 2,700 ล้านบาทต่อลำ กองทัพอากาศมีแผนจะซื้อทั้งหมด 8 ลำ ปรากฎว่า เป็นเครื่องบินเปล่าๆ ไม่มีอาวุธ ซึ่งจะนำประเด็นนี้ไปขยี้ต่อในการอภิปรายในสภาฯว่า ทำไมซื้ออีก มีเหตุผลความจำเป็นอะไร จะไปรบกับใคร พล.อ.ประยุทธ์ จันทร์โอชา นายกรัฐมนตรี ต้องมีคำตอบ

นี้คือเหตุผลสำคัญที่พรรคเพื่อไทยไม่สามารถรับหลักการร่างพ.ร.บ.งบประมาณฯนี้ได้

ขณะที่ “พิธา ลิ้มเจริญรัตน์” ส.ส.บัญชีรายชื่อ หัวหน้าพรรคก้าวไกล บอกว่า เมื่อพรรคก้าวไกลได้ดูงบประมาณปี 66 เหมือนเป็นงบ”ช้างป่วยที่ปรับตัวไม่ได้” งบประมาณที่ได้รับมากที่สุดคืองบกลาง ประมาณ 5 แสนกว่าล้านบาท โดย 80 เปอร์เซ็นต์ เป็นงบบำเหน็จ บำนาญ และงบรักษาพยาบาลของข้าราชการ

งบที่ปรับสูงมากที่สุดเมื่อเทียบกับปีที่แล้ว คืองบของรัฐวิสาหกิจ โดยหน่วยงานที่ได้รับสูงสุด เช่น ธ.ก.ส. ซึ่งเป็นงบที่นำไปจ่ายเรื่องการอุดหนุนการเกษตรย้อนหลังไปถึงปี 51 จะเห็นว่า งบที่จัดสรรแทนที่จะเป็นเรื่องการฟื้นฟูประเทศ กลับเป็นงบของอดีต สมมุติว่าประเทศไทยเก็บภาษีได้ 100 บาท พบว่า 70 บาท ถูกใช้จ่ายกับอดีตจนหมด ทั้งเงินบำนาญและสวัสดิการข้าราชการ เงินกู้ จะมีเหลืออยู่เพียง 30 บาท ที่สำหรับบริหารในอนาคตผมในฐานะที่อภิปรายงบประมาณเป็นปีที่ 4 แล้ว จะเห็นว่ามันเป็นช้างป่วยที่ปรับตัวไม่ได้

ฉะนั้นพรรคก้าวไกลคงไม่สามารถที่จะให้งบประมาณผ่านวาระแรกไปได้

งานนี้จะว่าไปแล้วในการประชุมสภาฯ พิจารณาพ.ร.บ.งบฯ ที่ผ่านๆมา ฝ่ายค้านจะอภิปราย เรื่องที่ไม่เห็นด้วยตามหน้าที่ผู้แทนราษฎรขณะที่ฝ่ายรัฐบาลมีหน้าที่ชี้แจงและรับฟัง

ประเด็นที่ฝ่ายค้านถึงขั้นตั้งธงจะคว่ำกฎหมายนี้ “หมอหนู” อนุทิน ชาญวีรกูล รองนายกฯ และ รมว.สาธารณสุข ในฐานะหัวหน้าพรรคภูมิใจไทย มองว่า กฎหมายงบประมาณ เอาเข้าสภามาช่วยกันพิจารณา เพื่อต้องการให้สมาชิกสภาผู้แทนราษฎรรู้ว่า จะมีงบมาบริหารประเทศเท่าไร เอาไปทำอะไรบ้าง ได้มากจากไหน กว่าจะมาถึงจุดนี้ ก็ต้องผ่านการพิจารณาจากคณะรัฐมนตรี ต้องผ่านกรรมาธิการชุดต่างๆ ให้ฝ่ายค้าน ฝ่ายรัฐบาลช่วยกันพิจารณา การที่จะทำให้เกิดอุปสรรค มั่นใจว่า ประชาชน ได้รับผลกระทบแน่นอน

ในสภาผู้แทนราษฎร ถ้าไม่พอใจรัฐมนตรี ก็มีทางเลือกคือการอภิปรายไม่ไว้วางใจ แต่ไม่อยากให้ไปใช้ใช้วิธีทางการเมือง แล้วไปกระทบกับประชาชน ปีนี้ เป็นปีสุดท้ายของสภา มีการบอกว่า ถ้างบไม่ผ่าน ก็ใช้งบปีที่แล้ว มันทำได้ แต่มันก็ต้องไปตัดงบที่ควรจะสร้างสิ่งต่างๆ ให้ประชาชนออกมาใช้ กลายเป็นคนไทยนี่เอง ที่ได้รับผลกระทบ

ขณะเดียวกัน “สนธิรัตน์ สนธิจิรวงศ์” เลขาธิการพรรคสร้างอนาคตไทย(สอท.) บอกว่า เรื่องนี้เป็นการส่งสัญญาณของพรรคร่วมฝ่ายค้าน ที่เร่งให้เกิดการเปลี่ยนแปลงรัฐบาลโดยเร็ว และเชื่อว่าเขาคงมีข้อมูลอะไรบางอย่างที่ทำให้มั่นใจว่ามีโอกาสเป็นไปได้ ซึ่งต้องยอมรับว่าสถานการณ์ตอนนี้อะไรก็เกิดขึ้นได้ และยิ่งรัฐบาลกำลังจะเผชิญปัญหาที่ถาโถม หลังจากนี้อีกมากมาย ก็มีโอกาสเกิดอะไรได้ทั้งนั้น

สำหรับพรรคสร้างอนาคตไทย (สอท.) เมื่อวานนี้(29พ.ค.) ได้ตั้งวงชำแหละงบฯปี66 โดย “อุตตม สาวนายน” หัวหน้าพรรค บอกว่า ร่าง พ.ร.บ.งบประมาณปี 66 ที่จะเข้าสภาฯเป็นกลไกการทำงานของรัฐบาล การบริหารในภาวะเช่นนี้ ไม่ใช่เรื่องง่าย ต้องจับตา 2 ประเด็น คือ การจัดโครงสร้างงบประมาณ และการจัดสรรเงินจะสามารถช่วยให้รัฐบาลบริหารความเสี่ยงความไม่แน่นอนทางเศรษฐกิจนับจากนี้ได้ดีแค่ไหน รวมถึงวิกฤตต่างๆที่กระทบเข้ามาพร้อมกัน ทั้งเรื่อง อาหาร ผลต่อเนื่องจากโควิด-19 ที่จะเข้มข้นขึ้น และสถานการณ์รัสเซีย-ยูเครน

ดังนั้นงบประมาณจะเป็นเครื่องมือและกลไกสำคัญของรัฐบาลที่เวลานี้ไม่ปกติ การใช้เครื่องมือที่มีอยู่จึงต้องเป็นแนวทางที้ไม่ใช่แบบภาวะปกติ วันนี้ยังไม่สายเกินไปที่จะปรับเปลี่ยน ซึ่งพรรค สอท.พร้อมเป็นสะพานส่งไปถึงรัฐบาล
อุตตม เชื่อว่า ร่างพ.ร.บ.งบฯจะผ่านสภาฯ เพราะไม่เคยมีการคว่ำร่าง พ.ร.บ.งบฯมาก่อน แต่จะผ่านแบบฉลุยหรือรุ่งริ่งต้องรอดู

Is Memorial Day a federal holiday? The full list of 2022 dates

With summer nearly here, it’s time to start marking the date of the next federal holiday on our calendars.

On May 30, those living in the US will observe the fourth federal holiday of the year, Memorial Day. Memorial Day is annually observed on the last Monday of May and honours those who have lost their lives serving in the US military.

The date, which is marked by people wearing red poppies in tribute to the fallen soldiers and with parades, will see most Americans receive the day off as a federal holiday.

Memorial Day, which also marks the unofficial start to summer, didn’t become a federal holiday until 1971. When it was added to the list, it became one of 11 US federal holidays.

First introduced by Congress in 1885 when it was decided that federal employees should have certain days off from work, the list of US federal holidays is made up of 11 days of significance that Americans recognise – and celebrate.

To ensure that these holidays are observed, certain guidelines have been put in place, with federal holidays that fall on a Saturday observed by federal employees on the previous Friday, while holidays that fall on Sunday are observed the following Monday.

While employees in the private sector may or may not get the day off, depending on their employer, a federal holiday means that non-essential federal government offices are closed and banks, post offices and schools may also be closed.

From Memorial Day to Thanksgiving, these are the dates of the 2022 federal holidays.

President’s Day: Monday, February 21

Memorial Day: Monday, May 30

Juneteenth: Sunday, June 19 (Observed Monday, June 20)

Labor Day: Monday, September 5

Indigenous Peoples’ Day (also observed as Columbus Day): Monday, October 10

Veterans’ Day: Friday, November 11

Thanksgiving: Thursday, November 24

Christmas Day: Sunday, December 25 (Observed Monday, December 26)

Blame Vice President Osinbajo, Tinubu If Another Northerner Becomes Nigerian President In 2023—Adeyanju

Human rights activist, Deji Adeyanju has asked Nigerians to blame Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu if the North retains power in 2023.
Both Osinbajo and Tinubu are jostling to get the presidential ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Since 1999, Tinubu and Osinbajo have enjoyed a cordial political relationship. The latter served as the attorney-general of Lagos from 1999 to 2007 when the former was the governor of the state.
It is widely believed in some quarters that Tinubu nominated Osinbajo as President Muhammadu Buhari’s running mate in 2015 as part of the political bargaining that led to the formation of APC.

Reacting to the emergence of former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar as the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in a series of tweets on Sunday, Adeyanju said the North may retain power in 2023.

President Buhari should endorse someone in APC from the South-East to unite the country and rally the country behind that person. He will unite Nigeria with such an action. After 8yrs in office, it will be unconscionable for Buhari to endorse a fellow Northerner. Equity!!!

Some political analysts have been saying that for the APC to counter Atiku’s popularity in the North and win the presidential election, it will have to also present a northerner as its candidate.

I hear many people in both APC and PDP have being celebrating since yesterday that power is back to the North after the Atiku victory. Tinubu, Osinbajo and the Yoruba people who refused to unite with Southern Nigeria, hope you are all happy now?

Adeyanju accused Tinubu and Osinbajo of being selfish and not putting the interest of others into consideration.

I can never understand why people will just be selfish & not put the interest of others into consideration. Did we even need to be preaching equity to South West?

This will however anger many southerners who have argued that for the sake of fairness, a southerner should succeed President Muhammadu Buhari, a northerner, who would have spent eight years in office at the end of his second tenure in 2023.

I kept warning from the beginning but they were insulting me non-stop; especially the Yoruba people supporting tribalism. Let it be on record that I warned and I support Igbo Presidency.
